Executive Director position for the Florida P.O.W.E.R. (Purchasing Organization With Educational Results) Buying Group.  This is one of the nation’s largest public purchasing groups representing 30 Florida school districts child nutrition departments.  Annual purchasing power is estimated at $80 million dollars.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing/consulting districts in the following areas; procurement/bids, legislative issues, USDA guidelines and other child nutrition-related topics.   This position will also be responsible for coordinating activities and communicating within the group and the professional website.
  • Business Management or related degree required; Master degree preferred.  Five years of progressive responsibility in government purchasing and organization management desired.  Anticipated compensation $75,000-$85,000. Start date to be determined upon finding qualified candidate.
  • This position is primarily a work-from-home position.  Travel to meetings and industry conferences is required as determined by the Executive Board.
